Districts
Northern Okinawa
In the Northern part of Okinawa island, you can experience Okinawa’s rich natural scenery, as well as chill out in resorts with your loved ones. Transportation from Naha Airport
Naha Airport is located only 15 minutes away from downtown Naha. One of the most convenient ways to travel from Naha Airport to the city centre is by using the monorail. By taking the monorail from Naha Airport Station, you can arrive at Kokusai Dori Shopping Street, a popular sightseeing and shopping hub in Okinawa, or reach other places in the city. Additionally, many local public buses or luxurious buses (also known as Limousine buses) can take you to downtown and other popular tourist attractions, such as the American Village. For a more comfortable option, you can also opt for a taxi.
Transportation
The main transportation on the main island of Okinawa are monorail, buses and taxis. The Yui Rail connects Naha Airport to the city centre. Car rental is also a popular and convenient option to get around Okinawa freely. If you plan to visit some of the remote islands in Okinawa, renting a car, bicycle or motorcycle is more recommended as public transportation may not be easily accessible or is less convenient.
