Hong Kong, 24 Thg10, 2018
Hong Kong-based HK Express is excited to announce a new route from Hong Kong to Nagasaki, Japan. The route is set to launch on 19 January 2019, with flights scheduled three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
HK Express is kicking off the sale of the new route with a limited-time introductory offer, taking place between 22 October and 4 November 2018. Roundtrip fares will start from HKD470*, with eligible travel any time between 19 January and 30 March 2019.
As one of Japan’s most popular port cities, Nagasaki is a wishlist destination for many Hong Kong travel lover and, with these new services, HK Express guests will be able to travel to the western Japanese city with ease. The vibrant city offers visitors numerous sites and experiences, including beautiful evening views from Mount Inasa, Sofukuji Temple, and eerie Gunkanjima – an abandoned island off the coast.
The city’s location on scenic Kyushu island also means that more outdoor explorations are within easy-access. From the historical island of Hirado, to the amazing wildlife and marine activities on Kujuku Islands, Nagasaki Prefecture provides a well-rounded itinerary. As the bonus, the culinary scene is gloriously multicultural, with Shippoku – a fusion style of cuisine that mixes Chinese, Western and Japanese influences together – being a must-try dining experience.
Of course, Nagasaki is also well known for its World War II history, as one of two Japanese cities devastated by atomic bombings. This somber history can be appreciated in the city’s commemorative museums and monuments, such as Nagasaki Peace Park.
“Hong Kong travellers are insatiably curious about Japan, naturally, it made sense for HK Express to add expand its route network in the country,” says Li Dianchun, President of HK Express. “This new link is sure to be a sought-after route and it’s launching just in time for travellers to enjoy the region’s snowy slopes in the winter and brilliant sakura blossoms in the spring.”
“I’m extremely delighted that the Hong Kong – Nagasaki route has been established, and in time to coincide with "Hong Kong Japan Tourism Year 2019,” says Hodo Nakamura, Governor of Nagasaki Prefecture. “We have a long history of international exchange and is home to two UNESCO World Heritage sites. Blessed with bountiful fresh produce, Nagasaki Prefecture also has a geographically distinct natural environment dominated by mountains, islands and peninsulas. I whole-heartedly hope that many travel-loving people of Hong Kong use this direct flight to visit our beautiful prefecture!”
