Travelers can now choose from more convenient and affordable daily flights
Hong Kong, 11 Mar, 2015
To underscore the commitment to grow the Japan market, HK Express, Hong Kong’s one-and-only dedicated low-fare airline today announced that it will add a second daily direct flight from Hong Kong to Tokyo-Haneda from 16 November. The addition of the new flights means that HK Express will fly to the world's most populous metropolis 14 times a week, and is the only LCC flying between Haneda and Hong Kong.
The additional flight service represents an important milestone for HK Express to expand connectivity between Japan and Hong Kong, providing more scheduling flexibility and greater customer choice.
HK Express’ Deputy CEO Andrew Cowen said: “Since the launch of our Tokyo route last November, we have been consistently enjoying a load factor, and have flown over 80,000 Guests to the city. The North Asian region continues to be an important market in our development strategy in 2014 and beyond. The additional flights will prove just as popular and convenient for our valued Guests, especially now we can give Guests a greater choice in flights.
“Adding a morning departure from Tokyo to Hong Kong will give Guests the option of a mid-morning arrival into the city, which will mean better connections for travelers going for work, or beyond Hong Kong to other cities on our network in South-East Asia,” Cowen added.
The new double-daily flights to Hong Kong join other popular flights on HK Express’ Japan network, including routes from Osaka-Kansai, Fukuoka and Nagoya. HK Express has shown a strong commitment to expanding their destination footprint to all regions of Japan; the additional Tokyo flights follow the launch of a daily service to Nagoya from 18 September 2014, and the current double daily services to Osaka.
To celebrate the launch of the two new flights to Tokyo, HK Express is offering one-way fares from HKD 680 on all Tokyo flights. The offer is valid from today until 30 September, 2014 at 23:59. Guests can travel between 26 September, 2014 and 31 December, 2014. This fare price excludes taxes, fuel surcharges and other government imposed taxes and fees.
