Check-in & Connecting to/from the Greater Bay Area

Travelling via Hong Kong has indeed become more convenient for passengers. Those travelling from the Greater Bay Area (GBA), including the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region and Macau, can take advantage of the upstream check-in services offered by HK Express. These services are available at selected ferry ports, land ports, and land points, allowing passengers to complete their check-in process before reaching Hong Kong International Airport. This streamlines the travel experience and saves valuable time. A variety of transportation options are also available to passengers returning to the Greater Bay Area.

 

A minimum connection time is required between your ferry, SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach and flight. Please find more details below:

The SkyPier Terminal Ticketing Counter at Transfer Area E2 of HKIA will be closed 15 minutes before the scheduled transfer coach and ferry departure time.

 

A. Ferry

To check in at upstream ferry ports,  you must arrive at the check-in counter at least 60 minutes before your ferry's scheduled departure time with the following items:

• A valid ferry ticket
• A valid HK Express ticket with a confirmed flight booking for same day travel (including mid-night departures)
• A valid travel document and entry / transit visa for your destination if required

B. SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach

SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach  provides services to and from the following locations.

Hong Kong International Airport SkyPier Terminal <> Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao / Zhuhai Port

Note: SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Service is for transfer passengers only.

 

From Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao / Zhuhai Port to Hong Kong International Airport SkyPier Terminal:

Passengers from Macao / Zhuhai can enjoy the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Service to HKIA.

To use the service, passengers must:

• Possess a valid transfer coach ticket
• Possess a confirmed same-day departure air ticket issued by HK Express
• Confirm in advance that they are able to enter their final destination and possess valid passport and visa for their intended destination / onward destination

 

From Hong Kong International Airport SkyPier Terminal to Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Macao / Zhuhai Port:

Passengers who need to take a transfer coach to Macao / Zhuhai should proceed to the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Ticketing Counter ("ticketing counter”) at Transfer Area E2. DO NOT go through immigration and reclaim your baggage. Passengers who have already gone through immigration procedures CANNOT return to the ticketing counter and use the transfer coach service.

 

To use the service, passengers must:

• Possess the following items:
  • Same day arrival air ticket/ e-ticket/ boarding pass stub
  • A valid transfer coach ticket
  • A valid passport and, if applicable, a visa for the intended destination at Macao / Zhuhai
• Transfer to Macao / Zhuhai within the same day of arrival
• Arrive at the SkyPier Terminal Transfer Coach Ticketing Counter located at Transfer Area E2 at least 90 minutes before the scheduled transfer coach departure time for ticketing and transfer procedures. For passengers without checked baggage, 30 minutes would be sufficient
• For passengers with checked baggage, please present the airline baggage tag

 

C. Other coach or Limousine

You can obtain departure flight information, check-in and get your boarding pass at the following land points:

• Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge Zhuhai Port

• Shenzhen International Airport
• Shenzhen Kingkey Banner Centre

 

Please reserve sufficient time to connect to your flight. Upon arriving at Hong Kong International Airport, please proceed to the bag drop counter of your airline for baggage check-in.

 

To check in at the upstream land points, you must possess:

• A valid coach or limousine ticket
• A valid air ticket with confirmed flight booking with HK Express for same day travel
• A valid travel document and entry / transit visa for your destination if required.
