HK Express announces that due to the volcano eruption in Kirishimayama in Kagoshima, Japan, UO1850 and UO1851 between Hong Kong and Kagoshima on 7 March 2018 will be cancelled.
An immediate notification to the affected guests is being made via email and SMS. Affected guests will be given three options:
Change of Travel Date – Select new dates of travel to / from Kagoshima departing on or before 20 March 2018 (Booking is subject to availability. Guests are encouraged to make the change via Manage My Booking system in HK Express official website; fare difference will be waived); OR
Change of Destination – Select a new destination on the HK Express network departing on or before 20 March 2018 (fare difference applies and bookings are subject to seat availability); OR
Full refund.
For options 1 & 2, a one-time change can be made free of charge. Further changes are subject to applicable fees according to the fare rules and conditions of the fare purchased. Guests should choose one of these three options and reply to us on or before 13 March 2018. If not, the default option is a full refund of all affected flight sectors.
The affected guests of UO1851 (Kagoshima-Hong Kong) on 7 March 2018 can also consider returning from Fukuoka to Hong Kong within 24 hours from their original departing time without change fee and fare difference. Guests who choose this arrangement please contact HK Express Call Centre for changing the booking and they will receive USD50 as domestic transport allowance after their trip. Alternatively, they will receive USD100 as hotel accommodation for staying in Kagoshima.
