Flight Status Update
Hong Kong, 12 Sep, 2018
Guest experience is always of great importance to HK Express. After the recent widespread flooding in Osaka, Japan, caused by the powerful Tropical Cyclone Jebi, Kansai International Airport is currently making progress in recovery and has resumed partial operations. We are working very hard to communicate with the airport authority in Japan on flights resumption and yet there is uncertainty about the approval timeline. Currently, we expect to operate 11 flights between 14 and 20 September which are pending government approval. Further update will be announced as soon as possible.
As such, some of the flights between Hong Kong-Osaka in coming weeks may be affected. To minimize the impact on our guests’ coming travel plans, we would provide the following three options for guests’ consideration:
Option 1: Change of travel schedule departing within 2 months from the original departure schedule
Option 2: Change to a new route of HK Express network departing within 2 months from the original departure schedule
Option 3: Full refund for guests who are booked on any confirmed cancelled flights https://securesettlement.net/hkexpress/e-refund/en
Fare difference will be waived and a one-time change can be made free of charge. Further changes are subject to applicable fees as per the fare rules and conditions of the fare purchased. The above change is subject to seats availability and must be made before the original departure date. To make the change or for any enquiry, guests are advised to reach us via live chat on our ‘Contact Us’ page, or contact our Call Centre at (852) 3902 0288 or via email guest.relations@hkexpress.com.
HK Express is working closely with Kansai International Airport on resuming more flights and will keep our guests updated as soon as possible. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will issue further updates should there be any other changes to the flight schedule. Please visit Hong Kong International Airport’s website www.hongkongairport.com or the HK Express’ official website www.hkexpress.com for latest updates.
