HK Express and AXA Launch New Flight Delay Parametric Protection

The most important thing about travelling apart from having fun is none other than feeling secure! Since the announcement of our exclusive partnership with AXA Hong Kong and Macau (AXA) earlier this year, HK Express Airways (HK Express) has launched a range of travel protection products to meet the diverse needs of travellers. With the support of AXA Partners, we’re excited to announce flight delay parametric protection for eligible HK Express customers who purchase U-First. This makes HK Express the first airline in Asia to offer parametric delay benefit.

While U-First already provides priority check-in and express boarding, it now includes flight delay protection for eligible traveller who purchase U-First at least 48 hours prior to their scheduled departure time. Without any prior registration, the flight details of each eligible traveller will be automatically monitored in real time. If your flight is delayed by 90 minutes or more, you’ll receive a worldwide Airport VIP Lounges Pass (valid for six months) or a cash benefit of HK$80 (limited to bookings with first flight departing from Hong Kong only), as long as you register through the designated portal.
