The second destination in the Philippines after Manila
Hong Kong, 07 Jun, 2024
HK Express Airways (HK Express) is pleased to announce yesterday the inauguration of a new route between Clark International Airport (CRK) in the Philippines and Hong Kong International Airport, to depart every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Following Manila, Clark is the second destination in the Philippines offered by HK Express, a delightful haven for customers to spend their holidays and embrace the “Gotta Go” spirit.
“Following the launch of our Manila service to the Philippines in October last year, the market response has been very positive, with an average load factor of more than 90%. The launch of the new Clark route is part of our strategic deployment in the Philippines, which aims to provide more options to customers to and from the Philippines,” HK Express CEO Jeanette Mao said.
“Clark and Manila are located on Luzon, the largest island in the Philippines. Their respective airports are only about 2-hour drive apart, so we expect the new Clark route to alleviate the demand for Manila flights. With Clark as a prominent vacation spot, we believe the new route will become increasingly popular. HK Express will closely monitor the market response in the future and increase the number of flights in a timely manner. This boosts our confidence in expanding our network of fascinating destinations in Southeast Asia,” Jeanette added.
Noel Manankil, President and CEO of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp., manager and operator of CRK said, “Hong Kong has always been a favorite destination among Filipinos, and a second home for many Filipino migrant workers. We are delighted to be able to bring Hong Kong closer to them, through this partnership with HK Express, and with this, we hope that many Filipinos will have the opportunity to travel between our two countries with ease.”
